Based on our investigation, the proposed PUD for outlot 81 will not significantly <br />alter this existing b)*g'b level of safety for the following reasons: <br />e As shown inEcrure 1, the proposed outlot 81 PUD will not alter the number of eastbound <br />u4turns at the County load B/main access intersection. <br />e The proposed outlot 8 1 PUD also will not alter the movements, which include westbound <br />tfu-ough and southbound right turn movements, that d1rectly interact with the u-turns, <br />The only movements that will experience a Slight increase, in traffic volume ar-e <br />eastbound, right turns, westbound left turns, northbound left turns, and northbound r1glit <br />to ms. None of these movements directly interact with eastbound u-turns. For example, <br />Wben the northbound left turns have a green indication, the eastbound u-tum and left turn <br />movements have a red indication. <br />Ass indicated in Figure 2, the proposed outlot 81 PUD wlill not alter the existing level of <br />service for any of'the movements. <br />Based on the data presented 'in Gable 1. it 'is impoi-tant to note that less than half the existing u- <br />turns are made bey.. mlotorists who lave CKited from the Har Mar site, Thus, more than half the u- <br />turns, that presently occur, including those made during, the time periods when u-turns are <br />probibl'I'ted, still would occur if the right turn out from the liar Mar site were eliminated. 4 <br />Though our analyses have clearly demonstrated no safety problems oceLLr due to u-tums by <br />motorists exiting, from the liar Mar site, Har Mar management will install a guide sign on their <br />site to help direct some of the rnotol-I'sts presently exiting at the right turn access and making a u- <br />turn at the main access to use the main ,,access for exiting purposies,. Figure 3 presents a <br />conceptual plan reg-,tvding the location and message for such silluning. <br />tz) <br />
