D. Parks and Recreation Commission: <br />The Roseville Parks and Recreation Commission is an advisory committee that makes <br />recommendations to the Director of Parks and Recreation, the it Manager and the Roseville <br />City Council on all matters relating to parks and recreation programs, facilities and services. <br />The Commission is responsible for: <br />• Providing a method for citizens' input concerning the city's parks and recreation <br />facilities, programs, needs and concerns. <br />• Identifying areas that may require action and/or change to promote a harmonious, safe, <br />and responsive Parks and Recreation program. <br />E. Recent Planning, Efforts: <br />1. Imagine Roseville 2025 <br />2. City of Roseville 2008 Comprehensive Plan Update <br />3. Harriet Alexander Nature Center Planning Committee <br />4. OVAL Task Force <br />5. Ladyslipper Park Master Plan <br />6. Muriel Sahlin Arboretum Master Plan <br />11. Scope of Work <br />The consulting firm must provide the following services: <br />1. Establish a clear extensive community involvement plan. <br />2. Identify the Park and Recreation System needs, desires and interests of the <br />community today and in the future based on anticipated demographics, economic and <br />sociologic changes, etc. <br />3. Solicit public input from residents, community groups and individuals, businesses and <br />stakeholders through a variety of tools 'Including surveys, public forums, workshops <br />and focus groups. Define significant stakeholder groups and identify their role in the <br />planning process. <br />4. Facilitate 'Input from a Park and Recreation Master Plan update Team. The team shall <br />provide input on: park needs, program needs, financing of park improvements and <br />acquisitions, needs for additional park facilities or replacement of existing, (e.g. <br />community center, additional indoor ice sheet, golf course expansion, bike trails, <br />warming houses, community park buildings, etc.) The team may consist of: <br />a. City Council members <br />b. Parks and Recreation Commission members <br />c. Citizens <br />d. Planning Commission Member <br />e. Public Works, Transportation, Environment Commission members <br />f. School District Representative <br />g. Roseville Visitors Association <br />h. Ramsey County <br />i. Business Representative <br />j . Arts Representative <br />k. Youth Athletics Representative <br />1. City Staff (Public Works, Admin, Community Development.....) <br />m.
