I goals for the development of the Twin Lakes Project, including the Dorso Redevelopment <br />2 Property; <br />3 WHEREAS,, the Dorso Redevelopment Property is necessary to the completion of the <br />4 redevelopment of the Project Area and the acquisition of such land for redevelopment continues <br />5 to be for a public purpose; and <br />6 WHEREAS,, in further pursuit of the public goal of redevelopment, the City has agreed <br />7 that,, if necessary, it would use its power of eminent domain to acquire such land as is required to <br />8 complete the redevelopment of the Project Area and convey the lands so acquired to a qualified <br />9 redeveloper, including the Dorso Redevelopment Property. <br />10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Roseville as follows.- <br />I I I . The City determines that the acquisition of the Dorso Redevelopment Property for <br />12 redevelopment will serve a public purpose. <br />13 2. The City does hereby find that it is reasonable, necessary, proper and convenient, <br />14 and in the interest of the public health, safety, convenience and general welfare, <br />15 for the Developer to acquire fee title to the Dorso Redevelopment Property as part <br />16 of the Twin Lakes Project. <br />17 3. In the event the Developer or a substitute qualified redeveloper approved by the <br />18 City is unsuccessful in completing the purchase of the Dorso Redevelopment <br />19 Property, the City would intend to, to the extent authorized by law and subject to <br />20 the terms of a resolution providing for filing of a condemnation petition, use its <br />21 power of eminent domain to acquire the Dorso Redevelopment Property. <br />22 <br />11 <br />
