I goals for the development of the Twin Lakes Project, including the Dorso Redevelopment 2 Property; 3 WHEREAS,, the Dorso Redevelopment Property is necessary to the completion of the 4 redevelopment of the Project Area and the acquisition of such land for redevelopment continues 5 to be for a public purpose; and 6 WHEREAS,, in further pursuit of the public goal of redevelopment, the City has agreed 7 that,, if necessary, it would use its power of eminent domain to acquire such land as is required to 8 complete the redevelopment of the Project Area and convey the lands so acquired to a qualified 9 redeveloper, including the Dorso Redevelopment Property. 10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Roseville as follows.- I I I . The City determines that the acquisition of the Dorso Redevelopment Property for 12 redevelopment will serve a public purpose. 13 2. The City does hereby find that it is reasonable, necessary, proper and convenient, 14 and in the interest of the public health, safety, convenience and general welfare, 15 for the Developer to acquire fee title to the Dorso Redevelopment Property as part 16 of the Twin Lakes Project. 17 3. In the event the Developer or a substitute qualified redeveloper approved by the 18 City is unsuccessful in completing the purchase of the Dorso Redevelopment 19 Property, the City would intend to, to the extent authorized by law and subject to 20 the terms of a resolution providing for filing of a condemnation petition, use its 21 power of eminent domain to acquire the Dorso Redevelopment Property. 22 11
