HKGI to update the City's Comprehensive Plan. As <br />3 outlined. in the planning process, the consultant team will be bringing forward. ideas and. discu.ssion <br />4 points to the Council approximately bimonthly. <br />1.2 HKGI and. staff completed. the first draft of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan Update. Each chapter is being <br />6 reviewed. by the Steering Committee and. is then sent to the appropriate city commission or authority for <br />"7 their input. This process is scheduled. to conclude at the Augu.st 14 Steering Committee Meeting at which <br />I <br />the comm'ttee is expected. to make tweaks to the draft and. accept the final draft of the plan. A <br />9 community open house is scheduled. for the evening of Wednesday, Augu.st 27, to gather further input on <br />the draft plan. Steering Committee works should. wrap up on September I I with the Committee <br />reviewing information gathered. at the open house and. ultimately transferring the draft plan to the <br />12 Planning Commission in order to commence the formal review process. <br />13 1.3 Rusty Fifield. of Hoisington Koegler Group Inc. will attend. the meeting to provide the Council with an <br />14 update of the work of the Steering Committee. <br />1 2. 0 POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />16 None <br />1 3.0 FINANCIAL IMPACTS <br />1 3.1 In September 2007, the City Council approved. two contracts with HKGI totaling $136,410. It should. be <br />19 noted. that that in order to accommodate Steering Committee need.s, two additional Steering Committee <br />20 meetings were held. in June and. July.
