Revenue and Expenditure Comments <br />Overalt, revenues were slightly higher than expected and expenditures were slightly lower. Most of the <br />change results from timing differences due to revenue collections and expenditures as compared to prior <br />years. While most revenues and expenditures are trending as expected, the City can expect diminished <br />investment earnings and added pressure from motor fuel and energy-related costs, which could have an <br />impact on year-end financial results. <br />Final Comments <br />The City's overall financial condition remains strong. During the 3rd quarter, the City typically relies <br />partially on cash reserves to pay for on-going expenditures in between property tax collection periods. At <br />this time,, there does not appear to be any financial concerns for the 2008 fiscal year. However, continued <br />monitoring will be made throughout the year. <br />Page 3 of 14 <br />
