Mr. Jones reviewed the background driving <br />this project and its concept as it related to the Urban Partnership and <br />federal grant funding in the region for infrastructure improvements in <br />addressing transit needs and options along the 1-35W and Cedar Avenue <br />corridor. Mr. Jones noted that this is one of three park and ride facilities <br />along that corridor, with others located in Blaine and Lakeville, with the <br />intent to move people through the corridor. <br />Mr. Jones provided an overview of the project, including new technologies <br />for the park and ride ramp and the surrounding area with informational <br />real-time signage to indicate availability of space in the ramp; and <br />comparisons of timing for vehicular versus transit bus times to downtown <br />Mpls., and other options. <br />Karen Erickson <br />Ms. Erickson addressed the requirement of Ramsey County for a right- <br />turn lane into the facility- 1 placement of a sidewalk along the south side of <br />%1.11 <br />Iona Lane; location of a concrete 12' side bus lane; movement of the <br />I �p I <br />
