112 <br />Oj 0 101308 Comprehensive Plan Update <br />Location <br />Modirication <br />Chapter 4: Land Use <br />Under Goal #I of the General Land Use Goals and Policies., removed that clau.se "...as well as <br />Pg. 4-2 <br />the creation of community gathering spaces" to make it read better. <br />Chapter 4: Land Use <br />Removed policy 5.3 of the Land Use Chapter as they felt it was redundant and similar with <br />Pg. 4-'3 <br />policy 5.4. <br />Chapter 4: Land Use <br />Based on con-unents by the City Attorney, modified language in policy 13.2 under the Land Use <br />Pg. 4-4 <br />Chapter (Ch. 4) to now read "Develop and utilize master p'lans, as official c for <br />redevelopment areas in order to achieve an appropriate mixture of uses in the mixed-'u.se areas <br />Pg. 4-'22 <br />designated on the 2030 Future Land Use Map' . ; and under the discussion of Planning District <br />10 in the Land Use Chapter, amending the language to now read "The City will u.se. intends to <br />rely on the following official controls and environmental studies to guide land u.se and to <br />evaluate specific proposals." <br />Chapter 4: Land Use <br />Affirmed the future land u.se designation for the "HarMar Mall" and Super Target parcels as <br />Pg. 4-' 5 and pg. 4-'28 <br />"Regional Bu.siness". <br />Chapter 4: Land Use <br />Changed the future land u.se designation for properties along the south side of Hwy. 36 from <br />Pg. 4-' 5 and pg. 4-'28 <br />Snelling Ave. east to Hamline Ave. from "Community Business" to "Office". <br />Chapter 4: Land Use <br />t- I <br />Re moved the sentence "Individual building footprints may exceed 100,000 square feet, but <br />Pg. 4-'7 and 4-'8 <br />smaller building sizes are supported" from the Regional Bu.siness definition and removed the <br />1001000-square-foot limitation on a building footprint in the definition of Community Business <br />by modifying to read as follows: "Community bu.siness areas include shopping centers and free- <br />standing bu.sinesses that promote community orientation and scales' . <br />Chapter 4: Land Use <br />Within the Neighborhood Business definition, removed the sentence: "Buildings shall not be <br />Pg. 4-8 <br />more than three stories in height" and replaced it with "Buildings shall be scaled appropriately <br />to the surrounding neighborhood. <br />Chapter 4: Land Use <br />Under the discussion of land u.se issues in Planning District 14, removed the words "...of a <br />Pg. 4-'28 <br />community scale..." from the second paragraph. <br />Chapter 5: Transportation <br />In the Transportation Chapter, removed the language "The Metropolitan Council anticipates a <br />Pg. 5-'25 <br />long range need for 800 spaces in the Roseville area.
