EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville,, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 25th day of February, 2008 at <br />6.-00 p.m. <br />The following members were present.* <br />and the following were absent.- <br />Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption.- <br />a-M111RU"I <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FUNDING PLAN <br />FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE SKATING CENTER REFRIGERATION SYSTEM <br />WHEREAS the City Council is committed to properly maintaining the Skating Center facility; <br />and <br />WHEREAS,, the City Council recognizes the immediate need to replace the Skating Center <br />refrigeration system; and <br />WHEREAS the City Council recognizes the Skating Center's regional benefit; and has <br />p I <br />committed to an environmentally- friendly geothermal refrigeration system consistent with State <br />objectives; and <br />WHEREAS,, the City Council recognizes the importance of preserving existing asset replacement <br />funding mechanisms that have been previously designated for specific purposes. <br />NOW,, THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED,, by the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br />Minnesota,, that the funding for the replacement of the Skating Center refrigeration system shall <br />be as follows.- <br />As a primary funding source, the City will seek non-local grants or other funding <br />sources to offset the incremental costs of forgoing a conventional refrigeration system <br />in favor of a geothermal system. To the extent that non-local monies are insufficient to <br />pay for the project costs, the City shall use all available funds in the Building <br />Replacement Fund <br />2) As a secondary funding source, the City will temporarily borrow monies from the Street <br />Infrastructure Replacement Fund sufficient to pay for any remaining costs <br />2 <br />
