Early reports indicate that 4 it could take approximately 16 months to complete the improvements. Library users have 5 expressed concern about the library being closed for such a long time. 6 "7 At the August 25, 2008 meeting the City Council directed staff to draft a resolution encouraging 8 Ramsey County to keep the Roseville Library open at some location during reconstruction. 9 10 The Roseville Library is an irreplaceable community resource. It houses more than 325,000 "I'll items, approximately 38% of the library system's collection. Annually it circulates 1.7 million 12 items -- more items than any other library in Minnesota. The diversity of its collection attracts 13 visitors from throughout the metropolitan area. 14 15 The Roseville Library is a gathering place for the community. Nearly 2,000 people visit the 16 Library every day, making use of its vast collection and other amenities including 4O public I 7 internet computers.
