Rls�&Spvl� <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />1.2 In past years the Planning Commission has sought four volunteers (three members and an <br />alternate) to serve as the VARIANCE BOARD and the City Council has appointed said <br />Commissioners. <br />1.3 on May 7, 2008 Planning Commission Commissioners Boerigter, Doherty and Gottfried <br />(alternate) each volunteered to serve as VARIANCE BOARD MEMBERS for 200812009. The <br />Commission directed the City Planner to seek the interest of Commissioner Martinson in <br />serving another year. However, due to Work conflicts Commissioner Martinson declined. <br />1.4 on June 4, 2008, the City Planner sought a third member to join the VARIANCE BOARD and <br />Commissioner Best volunteered to serve as a VARIANCE BOARD MEMBERS for 200812009. <br />2.0 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br />2.1 The City Planner recommends that the Roseville City Council appoint Commissioners <br />Boerigter, Doherty, Best and Gottfried as the 2008 VARIANCE BOARD to serve in such <br />capacity from July 2, 2008 to May 6, 2009 <br />3.0 SUGGESTED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: <br />3.1 BY MOTION APPOINT Roseville Planning Commissioners Boerigter, Doherty, Best and <br />Gottfried as the 2008/2009 VARIANCE BOARD to serve in such capacity from July 2, 2008 to <br />May 6, 2009. <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
