PERA Rate Increases <br />Under legislation approved in prior years, the City's share of PERA Will increase in 2009 from 6.50% to <br />6.75% of employee salaries for non - police and fire personnel and from 12.9% to 14.1 % for police and fire <br />personnel. The total financial impact on the 2009 Budget Will be approximately $75,000. <br />POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />The Public Hearing Was called for With Budget Calendar Resolution #10588, adopted on January 7, 2005. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACTS <br />Not applicable.
