Department Approval <br />;o?'7w& <br />Rls�&Spvl� <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 6 -9 -05 <br />Item No.: 12. a <br />City Manager Approval <br />Item Description: Community Development Department Request to Perform a City <br />Abatement for Unresolved Violations of City Code at 2112 Dale Street. <br />BACKGROUND <br />• The subject property is owned by Mr. Clair Smith Who resides at the property. <br />• Mr. Smith was notified of current violations in the fall of 2007. <br />• Mr. Smith requested additional time due to the extent of the outside storage and winter <br />conditions. <br />• Mr. Smith made significant progress licensing vehicles and removing outside storage, however, <br />many violations remain on site. <br />• Current violations include: <br />Frnnt Vnrd <br />• Outside storage of plywood, a truck tailgate, a 100 lb. propane cylinder. (Violation of City <br />Code Section 407.02. D & M). <br />• An unlicensed white car (XKD690). (Violation of City Code Section 407.02.D). <br />Side Yard <br />• Outside storage of lumber, tires, cement blocks. (Violation of City Code Section 407.02. D <br />& 207.03. H). <br />• Outside storage of a motor lift and a truck transmission. (Violation of City Code Section <br />407.02.M). <br />Rear Yard <br />• Outside storage of tires, truck body parts, a truck axel, 2 transmissions and a wheeled engine <br />puller. (Violation of City Code Section 407.02. M). <br />• Outside storage of plywood, lumber, cement blocks, 50 gallon barrels, and a dolly. <br />(Violation of City Code Section 407.02.1) & M). <br />• An unlicensed red truck (YAE2741). (Violation of City Code Section 407.02.0). <br />• In 2001, a Ramsey County Court Citation was issued to Mr. Smith for several violations. <br />Mr. Smith did clean the property at that time. <br />• A status update, including pictures, will be provided at the public hearing. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
