Administration Department <br />Executive Summary <br />The 2009 -2013 Strategic Plan for the Administration Department is hereby submitted. The <br />Strategic Plan has been developed in accordance With the Department's overall mission and <br />long -term vision. Within this framework, the Department has established goals and priorities that <br />guide the allocation of resources and operational decisions towards the desired outcomes. <br />The Administration Department carries out the City Council's policies and administers City <br />business. Administration staff makes personnel policy decisions and ensures that all laws and <br />ordinances are enforced. The Administration staff conducts studies and makes recommendations <br />for Council consideration, provides information to residents, oversees elections and directs the <br />City's solid waste and recycling programs. The department has 5.75 FTE and three part -time <br />employees who assist with taping Council and Commission meetings. <br />The Administration Department maintains accurate records of all City Council meetings. The <br />Department archives documents and manages the City's record retention efforts. Administration <br />staff is responsible to train all employees on record retention schedules. The Department <br />responds to public data practices requests. <br />The City of Roseville's Mission statement is: <br />To provide the Citizens of Roseville with an ethical local government structure which <br />ensures the Community's public safety, health, qualify of life, and general welfare in a <br />manner that is accountable to both current and future generations. <br />2009 -2013 Goals and Priorities <br />During the next five years, the Administration Department will focus on and implement the <br />following goals: <br />1. Provide excellent, effective and efficient City services to ensure that all citizens, <br />businesses and visitors have their needs met in a customer driven, cost effective manner. <br />2. Improve management and provide leadership to employees, commissions, task <br />forces and others, as needed to ensure that all employees and volunteers have the tools <br />and training to efficiently and effectively achieve their responsibilities. <br />3. Establish performance measures to ensure that City staff are meeting community <br />needs. <br />4. Implement Imagine Roseville 2025 Goals and Strategies which were identified by <br />hundreds of members of the community who donated thousands of hours to help set the <br />course for Roseville's future. <br />0j, <br />
