REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Department Approval: <br />DATE: 0/10/2008 <br />ITEM No: 12.d <br />City Manager approval: <br />Item Description: Request by Richard and Maureen Cox, 2045 Loren Road, for a MINOR <br />SUBDIVISION and VARIANCE t0 §1103 (DesignStandards) Of the City <br />Code to divide their residential lot and allow side property lines that are <br />not radial to the circular turn - around at the end of the adjacent cul -de -sac <br />street (PF08 -019) <br />1.0 REQUESTED ACTION <br />1.1 Mr. and Mrs. Cox seek a VARIANCE to § 1103 (Design Standards) of the City Code to <br />allow the RECOMBINATION of two contiguous lots of record in such a way that the <br />common property line would no longer be radial to the adjacent circular turn - around. <br />Project Review History <br />• Application submitted and determined complete: May 2, 2008 <br />• Sixty -day review deadline: July 1, 2008 <br />• Planning Commission recommendation (6 -0 to approve): June 4, 2008 <br />• Project report recommendation: June 10, 2008 <br />• Anticipated City Council action: June 10, 2008 <br />2.0 SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDATION <br />2.1 After soliciting input at the public hearing held for this application on June 4, 2008 the <br />Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of the requested <br />VARIANCE and the proposed RECOMBINATION MINOR SUBDIVISION. <br />2.2 The Planning Division concurs with the recommendation of the Planning Commission to <br />approve the requested VARIANCE to X1103 of the City Code and the requested <br />RECOMBINATION MINOR susDivisloN; see Section 5 of this report for further information <br />and Section 8 of this report for the detailed recommendation. <br />3.0 SUGGESTED ACTION <br />3.1 Adopt a resolution approving the requested VARIANCE, pursuant to §11 04.05 (Variances) <br />of the City Code, subject to conditions; see Section 9 of this report for the detailed action. <br />3.2 By motion, approve the requested RECOMBINATION MINOR SUBDIVISION, subject to <br />conditions, pursuant to § 1104.04 (Minor Subdivisions) of the City Code; see Section 9 of <br />this report for the detailed action. <br />PF08 -919 RCA 001008.doc <br />Page 1 of 5 <br />
