Attachment A <br />VEHICLE STORAGE AND AUCTION AGREEMENT <br />This Vehicle Storage and Auction Agreement ( "Agreement ") is entered into this <br />day of , 2008 by and between the Roseville Police Department ( "the <br />Department ") and Mid America Auctions, Inc. ( "Mid America ") a corporation located at <br />The Department desires to store certain vehicles seized during the course of the <br />Department's activities in a secure off -site location. Mid America has indoor secure <br />storage within the City of Roseville and is willing to store seized vehicles and, if <br />appropriate, hold a public auction of the seized vehicles and any Department vehicles that <br />the Department wishes to be auctioned off. <br />In consideration of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, the parties agree as <br />follows: <br />1. Vehicles Stored. Mid America agrees to store vehicles that are seized by the <br />Department and then transported to Mid America. Mid America is under no obligation to <br />store junk vehicles, as the term is defined by Minnesota statutes. The Department will <br />remove any contraband from the vehicle, and remove the license plates, if necessary, <br />prior to transporting the vehicle to Mid America. Within 72 hours of the Department's <br />delivery of the vehicle to Mid America, Mid America will complete an "Incoming <br />Vehicle and Inspection Report" and forward the report to the Department. <br />2. Duration of Storage. Mid America agrees to store a vehicle that is seized and <br />transported to Mid America until either: <br />a) The Department picks up the vehicle; or <br />b) The Department notifies Mid America that the vehicle is eligible for public <br />auction, and presents the title; or <br />c) Within 30 days of the transport of the seized vehicle to Mid America, Mid <br />America determines that the vehicle's condition prevents it from being <br />suitable for auction, notifies the Department in writing, and the Department <br />authorizes an alternate disposition of the vehicle. <br />3. Storage Fee. <br />a) The storage fee will be $15 per day, with a maximum storage fee of <br />$500.00 or 20% of the blue book value, whichever is greater. <br />
