Attachment A <br />b) The storage fee is an obligation of the vehicle's owner or the entity having <br />right to possess the vehicle. In the event that the Department retains the <br />vehicle for official use, no storage fee will be assessed. <br />c) The Department will require the owner of the vehicle, or the entity having <br />the right to possess the vehicle, to present payment of the storage fee prior <br />to the Department picking up the vehicle from Mid America. <br />d) At the time that the Department picks up the vehicle from Mid America, the <br />Department will present a check payable to Mid America for the storage <br />fee, and Mid America will complete a receipt for the storage fee. <br />4. Vehicle Auction. <br />a) The Department will notify Mid America when a seized vehicle is eligible <br />for auction. Vehicles eligible for auction will be sold at a public auction <br />conducted by Mid America at a designated site. <br />b) At least fifteen calendar days prior to the public auction, Mid America will <br />notify the Department, in writing, of the date, time and location of the <br />auction and a complete listing of all seized vehicles, and Department <br />vehicles, that will be offered for auction on that date. <br />c) Mid America will advertise the public auction through local newspaper ads <br />and on its website. Mid America may advertise the vehicles as forfeited <br />vehicles, vehicles seized by the Department, or, if appropriate, retired <br />Department vehicles. Mid America will not advertise the auction as a "City <br />of Roseville" or "Roseville Police Department" auction, or take other <br />action that attributes the auction to the City or Department. <br />d) Mid America will offer a seized vehicle at public auction within six months <br />of the vehicle being eligible for auction. The Department may pick up any <br />eligible vehicle that is not offered at public auction within six months, <br />without incurring a storage fee, and dispose of the vehicle in its discretion. <br />5. Sell Fees and Auction Proceeds. <br />a) For any and all vehicles sold at public auction under this Agreement, Mid <br />America will be entitled to withhold a sell fee, based on the auction sale <br />price, for each vehicle as set forth in Exhibit A. <br />b) Mid America may withhold a cleaning and detail service fee, up to <br />$150.00, from the auction sale price. <br />® <br />
