Introductions/Public Comment Invited <br /> Commissioners and staff will be introduced. Public participation and public comment is <br /> encouraged. <br /> 2. Approval of Minutes of the May 3, 2011 Meeting <br /> Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of May 3, 2011. Please be prepared to approve or amend. <br /> Requested Commission Action: Approve/amend minutes of the meeting of May 3, 2011. <br /> 3. Approval of Minutes of the June 16, 2011 Joint Meeting of the Citizen Organizing Team <br /> and the Parks and Recreation Commission <br /> Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of June 16, 2011. Please be prepared to approve or <br /> amend. <br /> Requested Commission Action: Approve/amend minutes of the meeting of June 16, 2011. <br /> 4. Meritex Enterprises Park Dedication <br /> Included in your packet is a proposed subdivision plat from Meritex Enterprises (Unisys Site). <br /> This is part of the larger parcel that you saw at your meeting in April. The proposal now is to <br /> subdivide the middle 8 acre parcel (Lot 1, Block 1) of the property and leave the remaining <br /> 13.4 acres as an outlot to subdivide at a later date when there is a development proposal. <br /> This specific proposal is for a Fed Ex facility to be placed on the 8 acres. <br /> Park Dedication does apply. The cash amount would be approximately $121,000 (5% of the <br /> FMV). The land amount would be 5% of 8.0 acres = .4 acre. <br /> General guidance from the Parks and Recreation System Master Plan on Parks and Open <br /> Space acquisition is to: <br /> 1) Add new parks and recreation facilities to achieve equitable access in all <br /> neighborhoods, accommodate the needs of Roseville's redeveloping areas and <br /> meet residents desires for a broad range of recreation opportunities serving all <br /> ages and cultures. <br /> 2) This area is located in constellation O where the larger Meritex parcel is <br /> identified as a potential acquisition. <br /> 3) Make continued, effective use of the Park Dedication Ordinance. <br /> Requested Commission Action: To discuss and make a recommendation to accept land or <br /> cash in lieu of land dedication to satisfy the Park Dedication requirements. <br />
