APPROVAL OF MINUTES—APRIL 5,2011 MEETING <br /> 14 Commission Recommendation: <br /> 15 Minutes for the April 5, 2011 meeting were approved unanimously. <br /> 18 3. PARK DEDICATION PROCESS DISCUSSION <br /> 19 Commission Chair Etten introduced the Park Dedication topic. The goal of the Commission <br /> 20 is to assist in positively positioning parks dedication in the planning and development <br /> 21 process. <br /> 22 Brokke shared the Community Development Preliminary and Final Plat Application and <br /> 23 Review Process with the Commission. Upon reviewing the documents, the Commissioners <br /> 24 suggested the following; <br /> 25 o Include a description/overview of the park dedication considerations in the "Preliminary <br /> 26 Plats" section <br /> 27 o Include the park dedication consideration under 7b in the Preliminary Plat Application <br /> 28 o Include a copy of the Park Dedication Code with Preliminary and Final Plat Application <br /> 29 and Review Process <br /> 30 Commissioners recommended looking at the current park dedication fee structure this fall for <br /> 31 a future recommendation <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Commission Recommendation: <br /> 34 Motion by Ristow, second by Holt to recommend to the Roseville City Council to add Park <br /> 35 Dedication Code information to the Community Development Preliminary and Final Plat <br /> 36 Application and Review Process. Additional information should include; a <br /> 37 description/review of park dedication options in the review process, detail of park dedication <br /> 38 options in the preliminary application and a copy of the code as part of the application <br /> 39 packet. Motion passed unanimously <br /> 40 <br /> 41 4. MASTER PLAN IMPLEMENTATION DISCUSSION <br /> 42 Commissioners reported back on April Master Plan Implementation Work Group meetings. <br /> 43 o Dave Holt—Communications and Finance Work Group <br /> 44 o A small, focused group met to discuss funding options for parks and <br /> 45 recreation projects and needs. Much of the discussion centered around the <br /> 46 local sales tax option. The feeling within the group is that there is community <br /> 47 support for a local sales tax to support parks and recreation facilities and <br />
