Once all formal background checks are completed, the PCSC will certify the final <br />three top three candidates and their names will be placed on the PCSC Eligibility <br />Register, to fill any currently open entry-level Police Officer positions(s) by the <br />City Manager. The Eligibility List will be valid up through January 2012. <br /> ACTION ITEM: Chief Mathwig will inform the PCSC of the results of the <br /> background checks at which time Chairman Campbell <br /> will convene a PCSC meeting to establish and validate <br /> the Eligibility Register. <br /> E. Other Discussion Items: <br />Chief Mathwig provided the Commission with an overview of the proposed Police <br />Department reorganization. Specifically, under the current organization the <br />Department is authorized one Chief, one Captain and one Lieutenant. Under the <br />proposed reorganization the department would consist of One Chief and three <br />Lieutenants. The Chief discussed the merits of the re-organization and the PCSC <br />unanimously supports this proposal and recommends it be pursued. <br />This was Commissioner Bailey’s last meeting as a Commissioner on the PCSC as <br />her term of office is expiring in March 2011.
