<br />Roseville Police Civil Service Commission (PCSC) <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting Minutes: Tuesday, November 9, 2010 <br /> <br /> <br />Elm Conference Room - Roseville City Hall <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Commissioners James Campbell, Teresa Bailey and Don Drackert <br /> <br />Others Present for the Agenda Items: <br /> <br />, <br />RPD Chief of PoliceRick Mathwig <br /> <br />Chairperson Campbell called the meeting to order at 1:00 pm and the previously <br />provided agenda was reviewed and agreed upon as submitted. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />A. Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes: <br />The Commission reviewed and <br />unanimously approved the May 25, 2010 meeting minutes. <br /> <br />B. Status of Any Previous Action Items: <br /> <br /> <br />Action Item #1: Chief Mathwig: <br /> <br />Chief Mathwig verified with Roseville’s legal counsel that the maximum time for <br />temporary employee retention is thirty (30) days. This is the maximum period <br />that can be authorized and no extensions beyond this are allowed. <br />ACTION ITEM: NOW CLOSED <br /> <br />Action Item # 2: Chief Mathwig: <br /> <br />Chief Mathwig provided the Commission in October 2010 with copies of current <br />position descriptions for the following RPD officer positions: Lieutenant, <br />Sergeant and Officer. <br />ACTION ITEM: NOW CLOSED <br /> <br />Action Item #3: Chief Mathwig: <br /> <br />The Commission completed its review of the revised Rules and Regulations of <br />the Police Civil Service Commission, City of Roseville, Minnesota. Chief <br />Mathwig oversaw the changes and ensured they were incorporated into a final <br />draft that was reviewed and approved by the contracted City Attorney. <br /> <br /> <br />(Continued on page 2) <br /> <br /> <br />
