REQUEST FOR HRA DISCUSSION <br />Date: 01/17/12 <br />Item No: 9.d. <br />Staff Approval: Agenda Section: <br /> Action/Discussion Items <br />Item Description: 2012-2017 Strategic Plan (HF 119) <br />Background <br />In 2007, the Roseville HRA adopted its first strategic plan that identified specific items for the RHRA <br />to focus on over a five-year period. The items identified in the strategic plan served as a basis for the <br />annual work plan of the RHRA as well as the annual RHRA budget. Overall, the Board has been <br />successful in accomplishing the items identified in the 2007 strategic plan. We are in the last year of <br />the first strategic plan and need to craft a new strategic plan for the years 2012-2017. <br />Staff has contacted Barbara Raye of the Center for Policy, Planning, and Performance to discuss the <br />use of her services. Ms. Raye was previously used by the RHRA for the Rental Registration Task <br />Force in 2007 and is a well respected facilitator for public policy issues within the Twin Cities. <br />Ms. Raye is proposing to facilitate the RHRA Board discussion for the strategic plan through the use <br />of online tools, stakeholder meetings, interaction at regular RHRA Board meetings and with staff. <br />The cost of these services is in an amount not to exceed $5,000.
