4P <br />TO: City Council <br />FROM: Jim Andre I <br />C*ty Manager <br />SUBJECT: Use of Alcoholic and Nonalcoholic-Beverages in City Parks <br />Attached is a report prepared in consultation with the appropriate department <br />heads . <br />Th e 'Information does not suggest the need for any ordinance change. However, <br />it does suggest the need for more definitive procedures' in the issuance of <br />these Permits. Those procedures would be defined as follows: <br />Written permits for the use of nonintoxicating malt beverage would <br />be issued by the'Parks and Recreation Director. Copies of the <br />Permits would be immediately provided to the Police Chief.. <br />Only nonbreakable and single-serving containers would be permittel <br />for the use of nonintoxicating malt beverages, <br />Unless the Council wishes to effect more substantial changes by amending the <br />ordinance, the staff would proceed r above, <br />ITIM47M <br />Rog <br />J.
