<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly <br />held on the 7th day of November, 1988, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Matson, Johnson, Kehr, Cushman and <br />Rog ,and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Cushman <br />adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8380 <br /> <br />SEXUAL HARASSMENT POLICY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville wishes to provide a work environment <br />free from sexual harassment and intimidation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City will not tolerate the sexual harassment of any of <br />its employees, and will take immediate positive steps to stop it when <br />it occurs; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville does hereby adopt the following Sexual Harassment Policy: <br /> <br />SEXUAL HARASSMENT POLICY <br /> <br />Purpose <br />To provide a work environment free from sexual harassment and <br />intimidation. <br /> <br />Policy <br />The sexual harassment of an employee of the city of Roseville by <br />any other employee or non-employee is absolutely prohibited. <br />The city will not tolerate the sexual harassment of any of its <br />employees and will take immediate, positive steps to stop it when <br />it occurs. <br /> <br />DEFINITION OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT <br />Sexual harassment is unwelcome conduct in the form of pinching, <br />grabbing, patting, propositioning, making either explicit or <br />implied job threats or promises in return for submission to <br />sexual favors; making inappropriate sex-oriented comments on <br />appearance, including dress or physical features; telling <br />embarrassing sex-oriented stories; displaying sexually explicit <br />or pornographic material no matter how it is displayed; or sexual <br />assaults on the job by supervisors, fellow employees or, on <br />occasion, non-employees, when any of the foregoing unwelcome <br />conduct affects employment decisions, makes the job environment <br />hostile, intimidating, distracting, or unreasonably interferes <br />with work performance. <br />
