Consider Resolution Opposing the Elimination of the Roseville Circulator Buses Councilmember Ihlan had prepared a proposed resolution and reviewed the Metropolitan Council's intent to eliminate four of five Roseville circulator bus routes, leaving one remaining route. Councilmember Ihlan displayed the routes, and addressed the ramifications to the public, senior population, business community and commuters, as well as the affects to connectivity to Transit Hubs and other suburbs. Discussion included cost participation and subsidies; and potential funding sources. It was the consensus of Councilmembers that they would support an amended resolution, including state legislature and governor involvement. Councilmembers Schroeder and Ihlan noted that the Metropolitan Transit public hearings were scheduled to begin April 12, 2005. Staff was directed to prepare an amended resolution for consideration, as discussed, and including the state legislature and the governor, for consideration at the April 11, 2005 City Council meeting on the Consent Calendar. 9. Public Update on Retainer of Counsel on the Twin Lakes Litigation under our Insurance Trust Councilmember Ihlan had requested a public update related to fee schedules and retainers for attorneys for litigation matters related to the Twin Lakes redevelopment project. City Manager Beets advised that the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust (LMCIT) provided oversight of the attorney's activities and submission for hourly fees.
