Public Works-City Hall Building Project: A Recap Public Works Director Duane Schwartz, in his capacity as Project Manager for the project, provided a final recap of the budget for the project and the overall observations of the construction experience. Mr. Schwartz reviewed various components and goals of the project: Project Delivery · Construction management versus hard bid awarded to one general contractor; · Minimize number of poorly performing subcontractors versus change of getting poorly performing general contractor; · Ability to choose construction manager based on qualifications. Mr. Schwartz concluded that, overall, subcontractors performed adequately and that for the most part, the construction management method worked out well. Recap Public Works City Hall Building Project
