<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 01/10/05 <br />Minutes - Page 12 <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing thanked and recognized Mr. Brokke, his <br />predecessor, the Parks and Recreation Commission and <br />City staff, both current and past; noting that Roseville <br />citizens are justly proud of their parks. <br /> <br />5.d <br /> <br />Proclamation regarding Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, <br />January 17, 2005 <br />City Manager Neal Beets presented the proposed <br />proclamation. <br /> <br />Martin Luther <br />King, Jr. Day, <br />January 17, 2005 <br /> <br />Ihlan moved, Maschka seconded, declaring January I 7, <br />2005 as Martin Luther King Day in the City of Roseville <br />and urging all citizens to join together to recognize, praise <br />and honor the efforts of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka, Kough, Schroeder, Ihlan and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />5.e Announcement from Councilmember Kough about a Neighborhood <br />Neighborhood Meeting Meeting <br />Councilmember Kough announced a meeting of the <br />neighbors in the James Hill IV Addition on Wednesday, <br />January 12, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Roseville City Hall <br />Council Chambers; at which a group of city, county and <br />state leaders, as well as citizens had been invited. <br /> <br />Mr. Kough noted that the purpose of the meeting was to <br />discuss the median closure on Snelling Avenue at Oakcrest. <br /> <br />It was noted that a quorum of the City Council may attend, <br />and it would be posted as a public meeting, while not <br />serving as an official City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder commended the meeting; and <br />requested if the meeting could be video-taped, as he had a <br />work-related meeting conflict that evening and would be <br />unable to attend. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding broadcasting the meeting on <br />
