City Council Regular Meeting - 01/10105
Minutes - Page 33

the Wednesday preceding a Monday City Council meeting.

Councilmember Schroeder expressed concern that the proposed
motion was prohibitive and too restrictive; and suggested that it
be amended to include adding agenda items prior to the meeting.

Roll Call
Ayes: Maschka, Kough, Ihlan and Klausing.
Nays: Schroeder.

Councilmember Kough provided his written proposal for
Roseville City Council Standing Rules of Procedure for 2005
and 2006 for staff to copy in Council packets for future review,
consideration and discussion.

Public Comment, John KysyIyczyn
Mr. Kysylyczyn questioned Mayor Klausing's voting record and
apparent support for such action at this time.

Public Comment, Al Sands
Mr. Sands voice his support for a Special Council Study Session
to consider additional business before the City Council.

11.

Consider Applications for Reappointment to Citizen
Advisory Commissions
City Manager Neal Beets noted that, as authorized by the City
Council, staff had contacted those commissioners whose terms
were expiring in 2005 to determine their interest in seeking
reappointment where eligible. Mr. Beets noted that two
Commissioners: Richard Houck (Police Civil Service
Commission) and Doug Wilke (Public Works, Environment and
Transportation Commission) had applied for reappointment. Mr.
Beets, as consistent with past Council direction, requested
direction from the City Council as to whether they desired to
interview either of these commissioners.

Councilmember Kough left the room briefly at this time.

Council consensus was negative; that interviews were not
desired. With that direction, City Manager Beets noted that a
motion for reappointment would be appropriate for these two

Reappointments to
Citizen Advisory
Commissions
