<br />City Council Study Session - 01/24/05 <br />Minutes - Page 2 <br /> <br />Inspector related to an addition to his residence at the <br />above-referenced address. Mr. Bombach handed out <br />documents to the City Council, identified as: January 18, <br />2005 letter from Nelson-Rudie & Associates, Consulting <br />Engineers; Invoice #25126 from the same consulting firm <br />in the amount of $874.20; a sketch plan for a partial second <br />floor framing plan by Amer-Can Engineering Services, <br />Ltd.; and Invoice #2514 from Amer-Can in the amount of <br />$262.50. Mr. Bombach requested reimbursement from the <br />City for additional costs incurred through his perception <br />that the City Building Inspector was unable to provide <br />services; alleging those services provided were "inept and <br />inadequate." Mr. Bombach noted that he would be <br />approaching the City this spring for an additional permit <br />that would exceed his requested reimbursed costs; and <br />asked that these additional costs be credited to that permit <br />application fee at that time. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing clarified Mr. Bombach's requested action; <br />and indicated that staff, as well as the City Attorney, would <br />review the documents provided by Mr. Bombach, and the <br />application process itself prior to recommending a course <br />of action. Mayor Klausing advised Mr. Bombach that he <br />would be advised of the decision, following that <br />determination and report from staff to the City Council. <br /> <br />B. Douglas Root, 2468 N Hamline Avenue <br />Mr. Root spoke to Agenda Item 3.a entitled, "State <br />Transportation Issues," and reiterated his request for the <br />City Council's solicitation of an expansion of the right turn <br />lane on Snelling A venue as it related to the James Addition <br />and closure of that access. <br /> <br />c. Joe Machyowsky, 2690 N Oxford <br />Mr. Machyowsky spoke of his displeasure in recent <br />Council actions related to the Twin Lakes Redevelopment <br />area, opining that he felt "victimized and swindled" as a <br />citizen and Roseville taxpayer by those Councilmembers <br />voting in support of the project staff voicing their support <br />of the proposed project, and the developers.
