Mr. Brokke noted that the next step in the <br />repairs would be to engage in professional engineering services. <br />A detailed proposal for engineering services was included in the <br />staff report dated January 31, 2005. <br /> <br />Mr. Brokke reviewed a detailed proposal from Stevens <br />Engineering that outlines various service options and related <br />costs: <br /> <br />Step 1: Collect information on existing system <br />Step 2: Analysis and evaluation of existing system <br />Step 3: Prepare final documents and assist with bidding <br />Step 4: Construction services <br />Step 5: Evaluate the option of a plate and frame chiller type system <br />Step 6: Evaluate the feasibility of connecting the Arena to the OVAL's <br /> refrigeration system <br /> <br />Mr. Brokke discussed the various steps, separating steps 1 <br />through 4 from steps 5 and 6 as two separate options. <br /> <br />Discussion included advantages and disadvantages of the various <br />steps and options; use of funds from the Building Replacement <br />Fund; status of the Task Force and timing of the repairs for user <br />groups; use of volunteer engineering services; the need for <br />professional engineering services to pull it all together and <br /> <br />Engineering <br />Consulting Services <br />to Study Repair <br />Options for the <br />OVAL <br />
