Roseville will strive to provide a variety of housing types <br />(owner occupied and rental) that balances affordability, <br />maintains quality of housing and the urban environment has <br />access to public infrastructure, services and employment and <br />enhances neighborhood viability. <br /> <br />2. Continuously strive to improve the quality of approximately <br />200 existing units which are below the average physical <br />condition and less than 75 percent of the median value of <br />housing units within the community (currently 55 single <br />family and 160 multi-family units). <br /> <br />Vision: To provide residents with a high quality of life and sense of <br />community, Roseville will have safe, high quality housing balanced <br />in price and product for people of all ages, with resources to <br />effective community services. <br /> <br />Goal 1: To provide a balance of housing in price and <br />product type to meet life cycle needs of the community the <br />HRA goals are: <br /> <br />1.1 Preserve existing housing and develop new housing in <br />partnership with federal, state and regional agencies and non-profit <br />community groups and businesses. <br /> <br />1.2 Provide a link between Roseville seniors moving out of existing <br />single family homes with young families for first time purchase <br />option while providing altemate housing for those seniors to enable <br />them to remain a vital pm1 of the community. <br /> <br />1.3 Prohibit Intrusion of Incompatible Land Uses to Preserve <br />Neighborhoods <br /> <br />1.4 Develop and promote programs that provide choice and <br />diversity in the housing stock to include a variety of affordable <br />housing 0 tions <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />
