<br /> <br />Enhance relationships with School Districts, Social Service offices, <br />Churches and Charitable organizations to provide continuous <br />funding and services for the preservation and enhancement of <br />Roseville's neighborhoods and to retain a minimum of2400 to 2600 <br />households with school aged children. <br /> <br />When reviewing new housing developments, evaluate the proposal <br />based upon its fit into the existing housing mix and encourage <br />housing quality, accessibility and affordability. <br /> <br />Create Planned Unit Developments (PUDs) that offer a mix of <br />housing types including single family, townhome, and <br />condominium housing. <br /> <br />Enhance Roseville's public infrastructure. Provide accessibility <br />from housing to local parks and services, schools, churches, transit <br />and employment. <br />Support state legislation that enables communities to establish road <br />and housing infrastructure/neighborhood revitalization impact fees <br />on new development in the community. <br /> <br />Strengthen the city's relationshilJ with local banks, realtors, school <br />district and non-profit service providers to effectively inform the <br />community about the benefits of housing rehabilitation and <br />reinvestment programs and pm1nerships. <br /> <br />Encourage young families to move into the community through the <br />support and partnership with first time buyer programs. <br /> <br />Review innovative development techniques such as reduced lot <br />sizes, narrower road widths and flexible construction techniques to <br />reduce the cost of new housing developments. <br /> <br />Develop affordable workforce housing policies and programs. <br />Evaluate what is "affordable/workforce housing" and develop a <br />policy that can assist new and existing programs and reduce park <br />dedication fees. <br /> <br />Develop a lJolicv which includes a provision that allows new "senior <br />only housing" projects developed in the community to collaborate <br />with the HRA, local churches, school districts, GMHC and/or <br />private sector developers to provide linkages between senior <br />residents moving from their homes into the new development with <br />families <br /> <br />Explore the merits of establishing an inc/usionarv housing lJolicv <br />whereby developers are provided with increased density (smaller lot <br />sizes, narrower roads) to achieve affordable workforce housing <br />goals. <br /> <br />3 <br />
