<br />Support affordable senior housing through the use of tax increment <br />financing, Ramsey County Home Funds, HUD, Minnesota Housing <br />Finance programs, and Federal Home Loan Bank dollars. <br /> <br />Work with developers to utilize tax credit programs and revenue <br />bonds to reduce the cost of financing for affordable housing. <br /> <br />When appropriate, submit applications for Livable Communities <br />Demonstration Account grants where the proposed projects provide <br />a mix of housing choices. <br /> <br /> <br />Explore the merits and funding of a rentallicensil1f! vrOf!ram <br />designed to assure that approximately 4,584 multi-family rental <br />units meet life and safety standards and current City codes. <br /> <br />Explore the merits of a "neif!hborhood enhancement vrof!ram" that <br />strives to promote resident participation, unity and pride in all <br />neighborhood blocks by taking an active role in improving the <br />quality of life within the City. The program would provide the <br />framework to engage residents in being good neighbors, contract for <br />joint services and improvements and provide more formal <br />communication with the City to reduce neighborhood decay. <br /> <br />Support and expand the Senior Housing Regeneration Program <br />(SHRP) which provides links between the sale of homes by seniors <br />and purchases by young families. <br /> <br />Work with developers to utilize tax credit programs and revenue <br />bonds to reduce the cost of financing for affordable workforce <br />housing <br /> <br />Submit applications under the Suver RFP Process for Livable <br />Communities Demonstration Account grants, Local Housing <br />Incentive Account, MHF A and Minnesota Housing Fund grants and <br />loans where the proposed projects provide a mix of housing choices <br />for illliovative programs that address affordable housing issues. <br /> <br />Submit applications to the Ramsev Countv Housinf! & <br />Redevelovment Authoritv for single and multi-family housing <br />developments, public infrastructure and business assistance when <br />low-moderate income requirements can be achieved. <br /> <br />Support affordable workforce housinf! through the use of tax <br />increment financing, Ramsey County Home Funds, HUD - CDBG, <br /> <br />5 <br />
