<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 23rd day of May, 2005, at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Klausing, and Council Members Ihlan, <br />Kough, Maschka, and Schroeder <br /> <br />Council Member Schroeder introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10307 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 2 FOOT VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.016 OF THE <br />ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR LOT 2, BLOCK 1, OAKCREST ESTATES <br />GEFF BROWN - DEVELOPER) 2550 HAMLINE AVENUE (PF3604) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Jeff Brown (Developer for Oakcrest Estates) has requested a VARIANCE to <br />Section 1004.016 (Residential Dwelling Dimensions - Front Yard Setback) of the Roseville City <br />Code to allow the construction of an attached garage 25 feet from the front property line <br />(property line adjacent to Oakcrest Avenue); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property is legally described as: <br /> <br />Lot 2, Block 1, Oakcrest Estates <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.016 (Residential Dimensional Requirements - Front Yard <br />Setback) via Section 1 018.06A requires a minimum attached garage (with no living area above) <br />front yard setback of 27 feet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposal by Mr. Brown seeks approval of a 25 foot setback from the <br />front property line adjacent to Oakcrest Avenue (a 2 foot encroachment) to allow the construction <br />of a pre-designed home on the property that has been effected by the new 60 foot wide Excel <br />Energy easement along the southern boundary of the development; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on May 4, 2005 concluding <br />that "hardships" are present and support can be given to deviate from the strict requirements of <br />the Roseville City Code; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to <br />approve a 2 foot VARIANCE to Section 1004.016 (Residential Dimensional Requirements <br />Front Yard Setback) allowing the construction of a single family home on Lot 2, Block 1, <br />Oakcrest Estates, subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />1 <br />
