City Council Regular Meeting - 05/09/05 Minutes - Page 13 Mayor Klausing and Councilmembers commended staff for achieving solution to various components of the project through their mediation. 8.1 and 8.2 (One Motion) Kough moved, Ihlan seconded, approval of the Amended Planned Unit Development - Final Development Plan (plans, exhibits and specifications) for Rosedale Center allowing an easterly replacement/expansion of the mall, totaling approximately 182,386 square feet and associated site improvements; and approval of Planned Unit Development Agreement between the City of Roseville and Rosedale Shopping Center, et aI, the developer; subject to City Attorney final review and approval by the Mayor and City Manager. Councilmember Ihlan again thanked staff, Metropolitan Transit, and the applicant for reaching agreement on transit issues; and spoke in support of the motion due to those revisions since presentation of the preliminary plan. Councilmember Schroeder, while expressing appreciation for resolution of transit issues, questioned the viability of the proposal; opining his lack of support for the motion and deviation from a proven successful center. Councilmember Kough spoke in support of the Rosedale Center and the motion; noting it was the applicant's risk and could prove an asset for the property; wishing the applicant the best of luck with their venture.
