<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 05/09/05 <br />Minutes - Page 13 <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing and Councilmembers commended staff for <br />achieving solution to various components of the project through <br />their mediation. <br /> <br />8.1 and 8.2 (One Motion) <br />Kough moved, Ihlan seconded, approval of the Amended <br />Planned Unit Development - Final Development Plan (plans, <br />exhibits and specifications) for Rosedale Center allowing an <br />easterly replacement/expansion of the mall, totaling <br />approximately 182,386 square feet and associated site <br />improvements; and approval of Planned Unit Development <br />Agreement between the City of Roseville and Rosedale <br />Shopping Center, et aI, the developer; subject to City Attorney <br />final review and approval by the Mayor and City Manager. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan again thanked staff, Metropolitan Transit, <br />and the applicant for reaching agreement on transit issues; and <br />spoke in support of the motion due to those revisions since <br />presentation of the preliminary plan. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder, while expressing appreciation for <br />resolution of transit issues, questioned the viability of the <br />proposal; opining his lack of support for the motion and <br />deviation from a proven successful center. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough spoke in support of the Rosedale Center <br />and the motion; noting it was the applicant's risk and could <br />prove an asset for the property; wishing the applicant the best of <br />luck with their venture. <br /> <br />Roll Call [8.1 and 8.2] <br />Ayes: Kough; Ihlan and Klausing. <br />Nays: Schroeder. <br /> <br />7. OVAL Task Force Update OVAL Task Force <br />OVAL Task Force Chair Jake Jacobson provided an update to <br />the Council of their five meetings to-date. <br /> <br />Mr. Jacobson noted that the Task Force was working with Task <br />Force member and City Finance Director Chris Miller to <br />determine the facility's financial need, with Mr. Miller <br />
