<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 05/09/05 <br />Minutes - Page 19 <br /> <br />John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street <br />Mr. Kysylyczyn questioned the accuracy of City Manager Beets' <br />estimate of 9-1-1 calls and their allocation to the City of St. Paul <br />and other parties. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing noted that Commissioner J an Weissner had <br />voted against use of county property taxes for operation of a <br />consolidated dispatch center. <br /> <br />Schroeder moved, Kough seconded, adoption of Resolution No. <br />10302 entitled, "Resolution of the Roseville City Council <br />Regarding Consolidated 911 Dispatch in Ramsey County;" <br />supporting the concept of consolidated dispatching; designating <br />the City Manager as the City's representative to negotiate with <br />County Manager David Twa; and expressing Roseville' s <br />reservations respecting the proposed funding and cost allocation <br />mechanisms for the consolidated dispatch center; and requiring <br />any final dispatching agreement to come back to the City <br />Council for review and approval; and directed staff to develop a <br />preliminary cost analysis and report for an internal dispatch <br />center. <br /> <br />City Manager Beets noted that it would be a "rough" estimate, <br />and further noted that the City of Richfield had recently done a <br />similar study; and also noted the given cost of converting to the <br />800 MHz system. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough; Ihlan; Schroeder and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />10.
