<br />City Council Regular Meeting - OS/23/05 <br />Minutes - Page 2 <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan also polled the audience to determine if <br />any members of the public were present to speak regarding the <br />land use cases on the Consent Agenda. No one indicated such. <br /> <br />There were no additional changes, and the Agenda was approved <br />by consensus as modified. <br /> <br />1. Receive Public Comment about City Issues Public Comment <br />Mayor Klausing called for public comment by members of the <br />audience on any non-agenda items. <br /> <br />A. Gale Pederson, 929 W Roselawn <br />Ms. Pederson expressed her appreciation to those <br />volunteers that had braved the rainy weather last Saturday <br />to plant flowers along Lexington Avenue and Central park. <br />Ms. Pederson also thanked the volunteers who had, one <br />week earlier, removed invasive plant materials in the <br />Langton Lake park. Ms. Pederson noted that she walked <br />regularly in that area, and the new vistas cleared on the lake <br />were very beautiful. Ms. Pederson concurred with <br />Councilmember Ihlan's observations at a previous Council <br />meeting regarding the condition of the property abutting <br />the Open Space, opining it needed significant clean up by <br />the property owner. Ms. Pederson also sought clarification <br />from staff as to the ownership and future use of the City- <br />owned property as it related to the proposed Twin Lakes <br />Redevelopment project. <br /> <br />At the request of Mayor Klausing, Community <br />Development Director Dennis Welsch clarified that the two <br />acre parcel on the SE corner of Langton Lake was <br />designated for ponding; was zoned Open Space; that there <br />would be no change of ownership or use and that there <br />were erosion issues that needed attention and would be <br />forthcoming. <br /> <br />B. Al Sand, 2612 Airline <br />Mr. Sands requested air time for a video presentation <br />regarding referendums. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing deemed that such a presentation would be <br />
