<br />City Council Regular Meeting - OS/23/05 <br />Minutes - Page 24 <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan spoke in support of waiting 30 days, as <br />suggested by Mayor Klausing, to see if agreement could be <br />negotiated between the Nursing Home and Church <br />representatives. <br /> <br />Discussion included outcomes for the property located at 976 <br />Lovell as far as assessments, given its location at the intersection <br />of Lovell and Chatsworth; and future discussion of the current <br />Assessment Policy regarding the additional 10% assessment for <br />corner lots. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder questioned why the City would widen <br />Lovell A venue to accommodate additional parking for the church <br />when they should be providing adequate off-street parking on <br />their property. <br /> <br />Mr. Drake opined that in his previous conversations with Rose of <br />Sharon Nursing Home Administration, they had indicated they <br />were short approximately 32 - 34 parking spaces and appeared <br />enthusiastic in discussing parking options, and closer parking to <br />their facility. <br /> <br />Further discussion included existing and proposed access to the <br />Grandview Town Home property. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing closed the public hearing at 8:56 p.m. <br /> <br />Klausing moved, Schroeder seconded, adoption of Resolution <br />No. 10310, ordering construction of improvements P-ST-05-02 <br />as modified, with a 28' street width on Chatsworth Street; with <br />parking designated on the west side of the street only. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka; Kough; Ihlan; Schroeder and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Klausing moved, Kough seconded, to table action until the July <br />11, 2005 City Council meeting and scheduled Public Hearing to <br />consider reconstruction options for Lovell Avenue to allow <br />further consideration and negotiations by staff with property <br />owner representatives of Real Life Church and Rose of Sharon <br />
