Motion prevailed unanimously. <br />Approve Minutes of October 11, 2011 <br />Chair Gary Grefenberg distributed and reviewed suggested changes to the minutes. Carolyn Curti <br />suggested an amendment under the Staff Report item, corrected the third place prize in the Student <br />Essay Contest to read $20. City Mana�er Bill Malinen also su�gested a grammatical correction. <br />Chair Grefenberg moved his written amendments and staff's su�gested chan�es, and Commissioner <br />Singleton seconded motion to approve the amended minutes. Motion prevailed unanimously. <br />Report of the Chair <br />Chair Grefenber� said he would continue to make sure the minutes accurately reflected the <br />Commission's deliberations and actions since the minutes were one of the few ways of rea <br />the Commission's actions, and were reviewed b,y others, including Cit,y Council members. <br />35 Grefenber� reviewed the Commission's standing committee structure and membership document <br />36 included in the meeting�acket as Agenda Item #5.1.1. He � said that it would be useful if the <br />37 Outreach Committee pick s�a�e� one of its members to attend the Operations Committee <br />38 meetings. Cominissioner Kris Doneen clarified that it need not be the same Outreach Committee <br />39 member at each Operations Committee meeting_ <br />40 <br />41 <br />42 <br />43 <br />44 <br />45 <br />46 <br />47 <br />He also reviewed the Advisor,�Groups and Task Forces also listed on the same document, noting <br />that although he and Commissioner Thao would serve on the Youth En�a�ement Task Force he <br />would like this proposed Task Force to be chaired and its a�enda set by the Youth Commissioners. <br />Youth Commissioner Marie Siliciano agreed that this was a�ood way to proceed. <br />Chair Grefenberg said that at his request he met with �#e a City Attorney to discuss the impact of <br />the open meetings laws on the Commission's activities. He said the City Attorney would be invited <br />
