LasC years traffic count <br />showed 2300 vehicles using thzs roadway near Snelling. �his i.s far <br />higher �han r�ormal residential streets, and would be one of�the <br />higher volumes on Roseville's MSA System. It therefore, fits.ttte <br />c�uali.fying crirezxa of use and volume which the State Highway <br />Aepaxtment established £or MSA roadways. In addi,tiorc, it connects <br />two other roadways of a higher classification, which are a state. <br />txunk line and a county state ai.d road. <br />The city currently has approximately 1.13 miles of undesignated <br />State Aid mileage available, Thzs roadway is .OS m�les lon.g, but <br />siace it is a boezndaxy street, only .25 mxles would t�e used v.p by <br />this designation, �'he City o� Falcon Heights has been discussiztg <br />this wi�h the Roseville staff and is desirous of having State Aid <br />designation �ake place, The roadway is cl,assified as a county <br />road, but not a County State Aid. road. As s.�ch, it wouZd be e].ig�ble <br />for MSA designation. <br />RECOMME�DED ACTION: Adoption o£ a xesolution requesting the <br />Mi.nnesota Department of Transpor�ation to <br />establish Roseiawn Avenue from Sr�elling to <br />C�eveland Av2nues as a MuniCipal 5tate Aid <br />roadway. <br />
