Qn February 27, 197�, the council received a petition from the Rosedale Shopping Center requesting tha construction of a traffic signal on Fairview Avenue at the entrance to the shopping center. Tf�e petition was received and the Pubiic 4lorks department authorized to prepare a feasibilrty study for the project. 7his feasibiiity study is now tomplete and it is found that the project is feasibTe and should be u�dertaken. The project would be ctone throUgh the Ramsey County engineering department, be- cause the improvement is on their roadaray. 11n agreement has 6een prepared between the county and the city setting forth the fiscal a�d mainte�ance responsibility and this is ready for actior► by thec council. Essentially, the division is 50q- 5D� on tt�e ca�ital cost Nfith the county doing the actual maintenance of the ��ci- lities and the �ity providing the power. 5ince the petition was i00� signecE, it is not necessary to have a public hearing and the project co�ld be ordered in at this time.
