REVIEWED/RECOMMEN05: <br />ide yard setback at 2939 Asbury _T � ( <br />_- � <br />The minor variance board at its May 2� ,meeting recommiended approval of Robext <br />Ha.rtman's request fflr minor variance to side yard setback at 2939 Asbury. <br />Mr. Hartman proposes to construct a detached garage which wili extend �o within <br />four feet o£ his side yard. property Iine. The required setback is 5 feet. <br />Mr. Hartman indicated that he had investigated the possibility o£ attaching the <br />garage,with his contractarybut that because of i:he large ovexhang of his existing <br />roof, it wov.ld be difficult and costly. Also, he would like �o preserve the south <br />facing windows on his existing home, Mr. Hartrnan also considered r►r�ving the garage <br />closer to the home-so that �he variance would. not be required., but again because <br />of the large overhang of �he roof, this was not possible. <br />Attached is a ma.p showing the property involved and the property awner on the <br />affected side yard who has signed a statement indicating thai she is not opposed <br />to the variance.
