It pravides that if the municzpa�ity does nat ac�opt an ordinance caverxng bingo operations and �the Izc�nsin� af such operatians, the City will b� deemed to have adopted the provisions a� -Che State s�atu�e. The Attorney has reviewed this �egislation and has si.urEmmarized its requirements. At�ached is his Ietter. 'The Attorsiey has recommended �hat the Cit�r adopt the State S�atute by reference establishing a�icense fee and providing that a violation be a misdemeanor. Attachec� is a letter from Mr, Ja�nes Eddlestan, Grand Knight of the Roseville Knights of Coltnnbus. In discussions with the KC's they hatiTe suggested �two pxo�osals: 1. Establish an annual fee of $100, 2. Include a praviszon in the ard.in.an.ce whzCh wi�l a11ow an organization, with Councxl appraval, to apera�e up to 6 ba.zigo games per week. (The State L�gislation ].imits the number o� games to 4 weekly), The KC's request i.s based on the fact that they are pres�ntly operating b games per week an.d �rould wa.sh �o mai.nta�.n `�his same �eveT of operation.
