�� <br />eoNT��T r�a . <br />M E T R O P O L Y T�, N C O U N C I L <br />Suite 300 Me'tro Square Building, 5aint PauZ, i�IinnESO�.a 55�01 <br />COOPERATSVE REHABILZTATION GRANT PROG�ZAM <br />CONTRACT WITH hiC;1TZCIPALrTY <br />THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this day of ,].g7� <br />between the Metrflpolitan Counci� (hsreinafter refer�ed to as the Council), <br />and the City of ,���_ ,(hereiraf�.er ref�rxed to as ire <br />C�.ty) . <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, the Council �ntends to undertak� a prograr� for the disbursem�nt <br />of grants to imprqve reszdential property for eligible families and in- <br />dividuals� in the Nle�ropolitan �4rea; and <br />WHEREr�,S, the CaunciZ has entered in:o an agreement wi�h the Minneso�a <br />Housing Finance Agency ("MHFA") to ac� as an administering enti.ty �or the <br />utiiization and disbursement of such grant furzds; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has by resol.ution zndicated its desire to part�.icipate in <br />thi.s prograirt and to assist such individuals and families to iinprove their <br />housing in �he City; and <br />V7HEREAS, the Council desires to purchase certain necessary administrative <br />services fram the City in cannecti.on with car�ying out the prqgram; and <br />WHEREAS, the Couneii is au-�horized �o e�ecute an agr�em�nt for the purchas <br />of program services and to take all action specifi�d or conternplated her�i <br />pursuant to Minnesata S�atutes (1975 supp.) Section 473.129, Subd_ 3, <br />Section 473.191, Subd. 1, and S�c�ion 473.135, and has all of the powers <br />and du�ies of a housing and redeveloprnent authori�,y pursuan� to Minnesota <br />S�a�utes (].975 supp.)Sectzon 473.195 under the provisions of the Munici.pai <br />Hauszx�g and Redevelopment Act, Minnesota Statu�es Section 462.411 tr� 452.7 <br />and acts amendatory ihereaf; <br />N06�7, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and pramises <br />eontained herein, the parties agree as fol.Iows_ <br />1. The Council .sha�l a1�.ocate grani funds in th� aggregate sum of -��,-�t�+.�+ <br />, DolZars ($ .pv) for the utiliza�i,on <br />by � City in a c rdance with the provisions of this Agreement_ <br />2. To the exten'� it does nat have funds ava�lable �ro�n o�her sources, <br />�.he City may apply up to, but not in excess of 3� of �he grant funds <br />allocated to it (whi.ch amounts ta-$ 5�5•CO ) to defray the cost <br />o£ administerzng the gran� program and providing �echnicai assa�s�ance <br />to grant recipients. Thus, the amount of funds actua�ly available <br />for home improvemen�s gzants is $ f���,00 <br />
