REVIEWED/R�CtiMM�NDS: When bids were received last spring, a71 non-mandatary items had been omitted from the bidding process. Severa7 very desirable things, however,.should be inciuded as part of the bui i di ng. One such item identified as Fie7d Order f�o. IO would be �o intal1 ceramic tile on �he co]umns near the east end of the building. The exist�ng contract oniy cai7s for rubbing the columns and this would not result in a v�ry pleasant appearing end produc�C.,. This ti7e work could be done at an increase in cost of $7�5.79. This 9tem was irtcluded in the December memo an anticipaied additional costs. The second item is Fie]d 4rder No. 9 wh�ch is the installation of ceramic tile wainsco� in all the toilet rooms to a height of 4 feet. The existing plar� mereiy calied for paint on the concrete block in these areas. 7he ceramic tile wili be much easier to clean and maintain and retard water gett�ng into the b]octcs. Thi s i ter� a] so was i nci uded i r� the merr� on antici pated expenses whi Ch went out 7ast year. The added �ost for doing this work is $2,889.00. Both of these items were requested by the City and would be a substantial improve- ment over the existing contract provisions. The tata7 of the.above ftems compiled as Change Order No. 9 is $3,634.79. This would bring the total amount of change orders approved to date to $25,874.7$ and would make the totai revised cantract $9$2,fi 38.78. There are severai other change orders pending at this time which would increase this total contract amount but it wouid appear that there are sti]i funds available in the �ontinger�cy Fund. RECOMMiENQEQ ACTION: Approva7 of a motion agreeing to Change Order No. 9 of the City Hai7 in the amount of $3,634.79. Items included in this change order are Field Order Na. 10 in �he amaunt of $745.79 and �ield Order No. 9 in the amount of $2,889.Qa.
