The f7re depariment is quite concerned ov�r this situation <br />because of the fact that r�nni r�g tY�e equi pment to warm ti t up pri ar ta fi re <br />responses and other nor�na7 activities wili caus� fumes of oi� a�d gas, plus <br />accumu7ated dirt, ta get on t4�ese v1all surfaces. It will b� much r�ore <br />des�rable �o t�ave a surface which is easfer to wash aff and clean, rather� <br />than having to repaint at re7atively fr�quent intervals. <br />The bes-� available soiution tl�at co�ald be determined was to apply an e�oxy <br />paint to these +�ra�l surfaces so tha� they could be maintained. A price was, <br />therefore, so7icited from the cnntractor and has been rev�ewed by the archi- <br />tects and found to be reasonabie. The cost for this work would be $Z,282.93. <br />The contrac�ors are ho�eful of completing the fire station next weelc so �hai <br />the city can occuPy it as of the first of F�bruary and, therefore, the matter <br />should be resolved as soon as possible.
