Traffic Re ulations_ Village traffic ordinances shall apply to the <br />operation o snowmo ' es upon streets and highways, except #'or those relating to <br />requ'ued equipmenf, and except those which by their nature have no application_ <br />90.�60. fnte�sections. No snowinobile shall enter any uncontrolled intersec- <br />tion without m�lcing a coinptete stop. The operator shall then yie�d the right of <br />way to any vehicles or pedestrians at the intersection, oa so close ta tt�e <br />intersectian as to constitUte an immediate hazard. <br />90.070. A�e of Operator. No person under 14 years of age shail operate on <br />streets or make a direct crossing of a city or vilfage street as the operator of a <br />_ snowmvbile. A person 14 years of age or older, but less than 18 years of age, may <br />( operate a snowmobiie on streets as permitted under this ordinance ax�d make a <br />` direct crossing of such streets orzly af he has in his immediate possession a valid <br />snowmobile safety certiflcate issued by the commissioner of conservation as <br />provided hy Minnesota Statntes 84_86 (6). <br />4Q.QSQ. Owners Responsibilitv. It is urilawful for the owner of a snowmobile <br />to permit the snowmobil� to�be operated contrary ta the provisions of this section. <br />f 90.090. Additional Re ulations. Any of the following shall be an unlawfui <br />� <br />act: <br />� � <br />(1) Using a snowmobile to taw any person or thing in a public street or <br />highway except through use of a rigid tow bar atiached to the rear of the <br />snowmobiie. <br />(Z} Operating a snowrnobile within One Hundred (100} feet of any �sherman, <br />pedestrian, skating rink or sliding rink where the operation would conflict with use <br />or endanger other persons or operation, <br />90.100. Equipment. All snowmobiles ope�rated within the Village shall have <br />the foilowir�g equiQment: <br />(I} Brakes adequate to control the movement of and to stop and hold the <br />snowmo�ile under any condition of aperation. <br />� (2) A safety or so�alled "deadman" throttle in ogerating condition. A safety <br />or "deadman" throttle is defned as a device which when pressure is removed from <br />�- the engine accelerator or ihrotcle, causes the motor to be disengaged from the <br />driving track, <br />7-! -70 247 <br />
