� <br />-- 2- <br />Mro Lundy indicated that a system of baffles as suggested by the Rice Creek Watershed <br />engineers would be used to skim off the floatzng pollutants and settle out particle <br />pollutan�s before they reached Langdon Lakeo The floatiing pollutants would include <br />gasoline and diesel fuel and the particle pollutants would include sand, etc. iie <br />ind�.cated that the Phase II portion of the PIK development requires an underground storm <br />water drainage sys�em and that a large filtering basin would be used to move contamin- <br />ents from �he water before it reaches the lakeo Mro Lundy stated that a 10 year storm <br />is approximately 2027 inches per hour. <br />Discussion <br />Yvonne Buckley, 1866 County Road C-2, inquired if the washing of trucks on the property <br />would create a sal� probleme <br />Mro Reese indicated that the washing of trucks is done insude the buzlding and the sait <br />is r�noved, therefore, there vrould be no prob2emo <br />Mrso Buckl.ey asked if the ponds whzch are created behind the ba�£les after a heavy rain <br />would,smello <br />Mr, Lundy stated there would be no �nore odor than from the lakea <br />The question was raised as to what assurance there wouid be tha� �he applicant would remove <br />the materials that are caught behznd the baffles and settle to the bottomo <br />Mr. Lundy indicated that it is in the property owner's best in�erests to remove the <br />material because the more material that collects behind the baffles the longer the <br />water which is ponded will remain on his parking lota <br />Mro Mastel inqu�red if this system of baffles was being used anywhere else? <br />Mr. Lundy stated that the baffle system was being used at the Ridgedale Shopping Center <br />plus a couple of other sites that he was aware ofo <br />Mr� Grauel asked that since the ponding of t�e watex beha.nd the baffles would occur on <br />the blacktop parking 1ot, what special arrangements were being made to assure that the <br />blacktop would hold upo <br />ENr.
