Regular City Council Meeting - 01/26/04
Page 14

3.11

Corrections:
Page 4, insert paragraph after first partial paragraph
and second full paragraph: (Schroeder)

"Councilmember Schroeder expressed concern about the
ability of the application for the Twin Lakes Stakeholder
Panel to attract the average person. Councilmember
Schroeder noted that the application requests knowledge
on business, real estate, etc. that the average person does
not have, thus deterring them from applying."

"Community Development Director Welsh said he would
amend the application to be as inviting as possible."

Roll Call
Ayes: Schroeder, Maschka, Kough and Klausing.
Nays: None.

Approve Parks and Recreation Beverage Contract
Renewal
Parks and Recreation Director Lonnie Brokke reviewed
the Request for Proposals (RFP' s) received in December
of 2003; with two (2) proposals received. Mr. Brokke
noted that the Midwest Coca-Cola Bottling Company
proposal was the most beneficial to the City; and that the
City had experience with the firm, as it had been the
supplier for the City over the last ten (10) years.

Councilmember Kough sought clarification from staff
regarding if reducing the size of the bottled beverage were
feasible; and whether there were any cost savings for
utilities in operating the machines.

Parks and Recreation Director Brokke advised
Councilmembers that the City did have options to a certain
extent, and he would seek comment from the supplier
regarding Councilmember Kough's questions.

Maschka moved, Kough seconded, authorizing the City
Manager to enter into an agreement with Coca-Cola
Enterprises, Inc., d/b/a Midwest Coco-Cola Bottling

Approve Parks and
Recreation
Beverage Contract
Renewal
