Regular City Council Meeting - 01/26/04
Page 4

Councilmembers and the public to the annual dinner and
dance hosted by the B-Dale Club, scheduled this year on
Saturday, January 31, 2004; with refreshments at 6:00 p.m.
and dinner and a dance to follow.

Mayor Klausing repeated the information for the audience,
and expressed appreciation to the B- Dale Club for their
invitation.

B. John Kysylyczyn, 3083 Victoria Street N
Mr. Kysylyczyn commented on the newly-formatted
Council Agenda, opining that it should not be identified as a
"work in progress," but was under the responsibility and
authority of the City Council. Mr. Kysylyczyn further
opined that the previous system had worked well and that
including the Councilmember pictures represented "self-
glorification" and was not what the residents of Roseville
expected or appreciated. Mr. Kysylyczyn opined that
taxpayer monies should not be used to advertise
Councilmembers, and questioned why staff and taxpayer
resources were being wasted.

Mr. Kysylyczyn noted his original intent was to make the
public aware that he had withdrawn his application for
appointment to the City Council, expressing concern that
the process could be tainted, given recent newspaper
coverage, and he didn't want to be a participant in a tainted
process.

Councilmember Kough responded to Mr. Kysylyczyn's
comments regarding "Welcome to Roseville," advertising
signed with the Mayor's name; opining it was done in other
communities and was appropriate.

C. Bill Cross, Owner; Network Liquors, 2727 Lexington
Avenue
Mr. Cross noted that he had originally intended to speak
during the Public Hearing related to the SuperAmerica
Conditional Lane Use Permit to Operate a Liquor Store, but
even though it had been withdrawn, Mr. Cross encouraged
Councilmembers to look at their existing Liquor Ordinance
