<br />Special Joint Study Session: Roseville Citizen Commission Chairs, Department Heads, City Council <br />Saturday, 02/07/04, Harriet Alexander Nature Center, 2520 North Dale Street, Roseville, MN <br />Discussion Notes - Page 2 <br /> <br />Recreation Commission Chair Gail Pederson; Human Rights <br />Commission Chair Thelma McKenzie; Police Civil Service <br />Commission member Dick Houck. <br /> <br />Residents Present: John Kysylyczyn and Tammy Pust. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Discuss and Decide Upon Meeting Procedures <br />City Manager Beets reviewed the department-specific essential <br />information provided by staff and Commissioners; reviewed <br />building logistics for the comfort of those attending; and <br />recommended that the meeting format proceed in a <br />conversational format, with approximately 1/2 hour allotted for <br />each department. <br /> <br />Each department had analyzed and highlighted operations by <br />strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT's); <br />using their individual and corporate experience and perspectives; <br />and invited questions and/or comments at random as each <br />Department Head reviewed their department. <br /> <br />Several handouts were provided during the course of discussion <br />including, updated demographics from the Roseville <br />Comprehensive Plan's 2002 Update; and Significant Issues <br />Facing the City in the Next 3 - 5 Years, as compiled by the <br />Community Development staff and Roseville Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Finance and Budget <br />Presenter: Finance Director Chris Miller <br /> <br />a.
